Wall Spatulation

A good start is the best condition for a good result and the same goes for painting. If you want your home or business to be painted correctly and without imperfections, you should do proper preparation. The quality of the paint and other materials doesn't matter as much if you don't properly prepare the walls for painting. Plastering the walls is therefore the most important part of the preparation and is something you can do yourself. Spatula basically guarantees that the surface of your wall will be even and that the paint will spread properly everywhere. What is needed for the spatula? Spatula is not a particularly specialized process, so you won't need any special equipment. The key to the whole affair and process, is of course the putty. It is good to choose white, so that you do not have a problem with the color you want to paint your wall. One package will probably reach you. In addition to putty, you'll also need a putty knife – which you probably have if you're painting your house yourself – as well as two sheets of sandpaper: one coarse and one fine for the details. Where should the spatulation be done? In general, puttying should be done in two cases: in holes and in places where the plaster has "popped" either due to moisture or simply from the passage of time. The holes can be from nails where you used to hang paintings or posters, or simply from "accidents". Let's see what should be done in each case.

Holes  Spatulation

The secret here is to fill the hole in the wall and not just put some putty on top of it, as that will just cause the hole to reopen after a while. So it is good to make sure to put the putty as deep as possible in the hole and then close it slowly. So if the hole is from a nail, then you should try to put the putty deep by putting some putty on a screwdriver or some other pointed object and slowly fill the hole. After filling the hole, the next step is to make the wall smooth. Put some putty on the spatula and place it gently over the hole point. Then slide the putty knife over the putty using a little force to get the putty as deep as possible but also to remove the caulk. When your wall has become a little smooth, let the putty dry. After it has dried well, use the coarse sandpaper to get rid of the large imperfections and then the fine sandpaper for the smaller ones.

Spatulation on  plaster

The process is not very different in the case of plaster, it's just done on a much larger scale. In essence, the process is almost the same as that of the second part of the above process. In fact, from a technical point of view it is exactly the same. Where the difference is, is the fact that you will have to take on the plaster cases one at a time. What does this mean; You should finish one burst completely and then move on to another. Simply put, you shouldn't fix all the holes at once. Spatulas are generally a simple task that even an "amateur" painter can undertake, however an expert will do it faster and more correctly.
